NJIT Honors College Instant Decision Day on 12/6/17


A representative from NJIT's Albert Dorman Honor's College will be conducting an On-Site Admissions Day at Biotech on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. This means they will review your credentials with you, and tell you if you are accepted into NJIT's Honor College.

When students are accepted to the Honors College, they receive a wealth of benefits, including a merit scholarship package covering one half to full tuition. As honors scholars, they will have opportunities to study overseas, work with faculty on research and industry-based projects, develop leadership skills, and have priority for on-campus housing.   • You must complete the NJIT Application through the Common App, including answering all questions pertaining to Dorman Honors College, prior to attending the interview.
  • If you meet the requirements for onsite admissions, NJIT will waive your application fee! Email Mr. Brown for the code
  • Applicants to accelerated programs in medicine, dentistry, optometry or law have to meet different requirements and cannot be interviewed on site.

Class of 2018 Scholarship Nomination Opportunities

Biotechnology High School is proud to nominate students in the class of 2018 for the following undergraduate scholarship opportunities:

The Guidance Department will select nominees on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated interest.

Applications are due by Sunday, October 29 at 11:59 pm. Note: students may apply for more than 1 scholarship. Submit a separate application for each scholarship that you would like to be considered for.

RPI Medal Class of 2018

The Rensselaer Medal
A scholarship opportunity worth $100,000 for
outstanding math and science students

For more than 100 years, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, in conjunction with high schools around the world, has awarded the Rensselaer Medal to promising secondary school students who have distinguished themselves in mathematics and science.

The Medal was first presented in 1916 with two purposes: to recognize the superlative academic achievement of young men and women, and to motivate students toward careers in science, engineering, and technology.

This merit scholarship, with a value of $25,000 per year, is guaranteed for four years (five years for the B.Arch. program or the Co-Terminal Program) for each medalist who is accepted and enrolls at Rensselaer.

As a participating medal high school, BTHS is allowed to select one member of the junior class to be honored with the Rensselaer Medal Award.
