Surf Lifesaving Lifeguard Training Clinic

What? Surf Lifesaving offers training and certifications in Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED (defibrillator), and Blood-borne Pathogens. These certifications are all the certifications required for lifeguarding. Along with these certifications, Surf Lifesaving also offers training in pool maintenance, aquatic neck and back injuries, legal aspects of lifeguarding and workplace behavior. Surf Lifesaving also offers re-certifications in all these areas.

Who? The training course is offered to any interested people ages 15 and up.

When? The training course begins on Friday, May 2, 2014, and runs continuously through Monday, May 19, 2014, from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm on weekends and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays. An exact schedule and syllabus will be provided following your registration.  

Where? The pool segment is conducted at the Steadman Natatorium at Monmouth University. The class work is also conducted at Monmouth University. COST? The full course fee is $300. Included in the cost are the following American Red Cross certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Blood-borne Pathogens. Surf Lifesaving also provides training in workplace behavior and sensitivity and pool maintenance. All books & materials are also included in the cost.
