Info for Sophomore Students & Parents

As we head into marking period 4, the Guidance Office has several activities planned for the sophomores, with the goal of helping them end their year on a successful note and prepare for the upcoming transition into IB students.

(1) Advisor Groups: Sophomores will be meeting with the junior/senior Peer Leaders in Advisor Groups on Friday 4/29. The focus will be on reflecting on your Biotech experiences thus far and planning for your future successes entering junior year.

(2) Rising Junior Night: All students in the class of 2018 and their parents are invited to attend our Rising Junior Night, scheduled for Tuesday, May 24th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Media Center. We will provide an overview and orientation to the IB Program, as well as review other important information for junior year.

(3) Individual Guidance Meetings: Each sophomore student will meet individually with their Guidance Counselor (Mr. Brown: A to L; Ms. Krauter: M to Z) throughout the month of May. Prior to our meeting, please complete the "Sophomore Guidance Survey" in Naviance.

The fall of junior year is the best time to visit colleges - which campuses do you want to visit? Start planning and talking as a family about possible destinations.
